Dainty Rose Headband

Skill:easy

Materials: 5.00 mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
1/8 inch elastic (if you cant find any in the store, i buy mine here http://www.etsy.com/shop/SKINNYELASTIC?ref=seller_info they have super fast shipping too)
a small amount of pink caron simply soft or another light weight size 4 worsted
Small amount of size 4 worsted green yarn

Gauge:7dc=2inches

Average Head Sizes:

            

Preemies- 9-12"
0-3 month -13" - 14"
3-6 month- 14" - 17 "
6-12 month-16" - 19 "
Toddler-small child-18" to 20 "
child-preteen-19" - 20 1/2"
preteen to adult-20 1/2 - 22.5"

Headband
Cut the Elastic approximate 2-3 inches shorter than the desired head circumference. If you don't know how big the person's head is, use the average head sizes listed above

Tack ends of elastic together with yarn and tapestry needle. Fasten of securely

Rose- with pink yarn
ch10
R1)3dc in each chain across. fasten off leaving 10 inch tail
At this point it will be a little spiral Start wrapping it around itself in a circular motion to
form a rose, with a tapestry needle and the 10" tail secure the shape of the rose, fasten
off

Leaves- with green yarn
sl st anywhere on side of rose, ch 3 and sl st just to the left of original sl st(make sure
it is really close together. this will form a picot point making a delicate leaf, fasten off

Finishing -
sew or glue rose over top the sewn seam of the headband. fasten off and weave in all ends
